Living In Sullivan County Tennessee

Formed in 1779, Sullivan County is the second oldest county in Tennessee. Sullivan County offers a storehouse of opportunities and beauty for every eye. Starting with the court house which has been in existence since 1850, history abounds. It is located next to historic Deery Inn which is surrounded by a walking trail fit for all seasons.

With a population over 156,000, there are several parks for vacation and entertainment. Warriors Path, Observation Knob and Steel Creek are three parks that you will have to visit. Our county consists of over 430 square miles, 17 of which are water. Camping, boating, hunting, hiking, fishing, trail walking, and swimming are just few activities that our area has to offer. In addition, Sullivan County is home to the Bristol Motor Speedway, the world’s fastest half mile tack.

If you are new to Sullivan County or just a visitor, welcome! If you have lived here for years, thanks for living in this fine community. If you are a visitor, I hope you like what you see and return again. I am here to serve your needs so feel free to contact me any time.
