Mayor Zane Vanover serves as the Mayor of Sullivan County, Tennessee. A lifelong Sullivan County resident, Vanover brings decades of experience as an educator, farmer, coach, and community leader. He is a graduate of Ketron High School and earned both a bachelor's degree in Biology and a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University. Prior to becoming mayor, he served on the Sullivan County Commission, where he was actively involved in budget, education, and economic development initiatives.

Vanover has also been a longtime advocate for agriculture as owner and operator of Cleek Farms and former president of the Sullivan County Farm Bureau. Throughout his career, he has remained engaged in numerous civic and community organizations across the Tri-Cities region. Elected as Sullivan County Mayor in 2026, he has emphasized transparency, fiscal responsibility, managed growth, and responsive local government
